Tuesday Boredom!

I am at work, (shhhh)!!! Anyway, I am bored!! This is the slowest week of the year for us. So, I was thinking of different things to do on my blog. I started searching and found a site that has an "imaginative prompt generator". I think after the first of the year I am going to start using this generator weekly and seeing what fun ideas everyone can come up with.
Today the generator asked me what my 10 favorite sounds were....so I am going to share those with you. If you feel like joining in let me know ans I will come by and visit your blog to see your 10 favorite sounds as well. Here goes.....
  1. My first most favorite sound would have to be my kids' voices. I love listening to them talk. I may complain that they never hush it at times...but I LOVE to listen to them, especially when they think I am not listening!
  2. I love the sound of rain when I am sleeping, as well as thunderstorms.
  3. I love the sound of Amy Grant's voice. It is the most calming voice I think I have ever heard.
  4. I love the sound of the ocean...and putting a shell to your ear to hear it is NOT the same sound!
  5. I love the sound of fingernails tapping on a hard surface.
  6. I love the sound of cracking bubble gum, not to be confused with the smacking of the lips etc while chewing gum!
  7. I love the sound of a cat purring.
  8. I love the sound of my mons voice on the other end of the phone when she is in a good mood!
  9. I love the sound of coins hitting on a slot machine....who doesn't, right??
  10. You may think I am weird for this one...but...I love the sound of shattering glass, glass breaking. It is just a stress reliever for me...

Well, there you have it, 10 of my favorite sounds. I can't wait to see some of your favorite sounds!! Let me know and I will stop by!

OK, call me crazy— or geeky anyway… but I like the sound that you get when you find the sympathetic resonance in the bathroom. Try it— get in the bathroom and shut the door. Start out by singing a very high pitched Oooo and slowly lowering the pitch until your ears ring… pretty cool huh.

I love the sounds of morning by the pond - the ripples in the pond, the sea breeze, the birds calling to each other.

I actually agree with most of your list, even the glass shattering one. The worse the mood, the more I want to hear that sound. I thought I was the only one!

I hope you have yourself a Merry little Christmas!

Thanks for supporting kidz,
Tara

What a great idea. I know there are many days where I am just at a loss for what to write! Thanks for the link.

One of my favorites is the sound of my baby breathing once he's asleep. I love getting as close to his face as possible and just sitting there for a few minutes!

I can't handle fingernails on any surface. Maybe it's my teacher side... can't handle tapping noises :)

Angie..your blog is SO beautiful..I feel like I am so far behind everyone else when it comes to decorating, I have so many ideas of what I'd like to see for my blog, but have no clue how to achieve the 'look'...
it's gorgeous :)
I agree with Amy Grant's singing voice, ever since my aunt gave me a cassette tape of her music when I was 16, I've been a huge fan. She's amazing in every way!
